After the Opposition declared a Bharat Bandh today, protests inside and outside Parliament intensified today over demonetisation with the Opposition continuing to demand Prime Minister Narendra Modi's presence for a debate on the banning of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were repeatedly disrupted and adjourned as Opposition members created ruckus over demonetisation. The deadlock, they said in both Houses, will only go after Modi attends.
Meanwhile, according to sources, the Opposition could also raise the issue of Punjab jailbreak in Parliament.
