A platform for amateur artists

New Delhi  :  In an endeavour to promote art, Kalyanmayee, Airports Authority of India Women Welfare Association (AAIWWA), recently organised the second art camp, titled 'Prerna - 2,' here.

Organised in association with AAI Artist Forum (AAIAF) and Forum of Indian Photographers and Artists (FIPA), the event was held at Airports Authority of India Officer's Institute (AAIOI) from April 20 to April 22 to promote amateur artists and provide them with a platform to showcase their talent.

The topic given for the art camp was 'The Five Elements' and 25 artists participated in this camp.

The concept of the art camp was to paint on the given topic for three days, carry home the canvas and submit the finished painting to AAI within the specified given time.

The finished paintings will be showcased in an exhibition in September 2018 organised by Kalyanmayee.

Upma Srivastava, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, an art enthusiast and a music lover was the chief guest.

Sudhir Raheja, member (planning) AAI, and Anuj Aggarwal, member (HR) AAI, were the guests of honour for the inaugural function.

Vice Presidents of Kalyanamyee, Charu Raheja, Dr Chhavi Aggarwal, Shelley Dutta and Santhisree Murthy, were also present.
