Life is full of learning and it has been a basic instinct of human beings to learn from his surroundings. There would always be new thing if you observe the things, persons or places with different dimensions. Travelling is one of those fortes that keep people roaming and mingling into different cultures. Youth must follow their interests and passions to learn new thing. These views were expressed by Philippa Kaye Traveller, writer, India expert & consultant, Author interacting with Dr. Dilip N Pandit during an exclusive interview at Indore Literature Festival.

Philippa Kaye is an Indophile, traveller, author, lover of dogs and rider of horses, entrepreneur and eternal optimist. She enjoys getting off the beaten track both personally and professionally and has dedicated her life to sharing her stories and helping others find their own off-road path. India and Yorkshire are two completely different worlds. As she says, ‘My heart lies in India, my family live in Yorkshire, I juggle the two.”

Being a novelist, her novel Girl India is a novel based on a true story about life living in the jungles of central India, running a safari lodge in Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Think Bridget Jones does India! Girl India is a funny, contemporary and feisty tale of one woman’s search for meaning, independence and tigers.

According to her, “In India, anything is possible. Best of all, I have got to know its people, been humbled by them, marveled at their ingenuity and resilience and discovered that it is with them, that the true heart of the country lies.” Philippa is one of those rare people who passionately involved and connects deeply. Above all to be in an industry promoting India, she is a true Indophile – a country that at times bewilders her, as it does us all, yet she loves India passionately enough to seek answers and resolves any angst with heavy doses of her own brand of humor. She has time and again turned us into a heap of tears and laughter begging her to stop while recounting some of her first encounters with India.

Philippa has been a specialist in travel to India for twenty years. She has been responsible for establishing Indian divisions for various UK based travel companies including Ampersand Travel, Real Holidays and Experience Travel Group. She has lived in India for over ten years and has consulted for various hotels and Indian DMC's. She is passionate about showcasing 'A Different India,' beyond the mainstream destinations. She established Indian Experiences in order to provide consultancy services to the Indian travel trade.

She suggests new writers in travelogue writing that youth must never tired of what they observe and feel passionately.
