Recently he had been in Indore to launch his latest book,” Our Impossible Love” and got an over whelming response. The editor of Alma Times Dr. Dilip N Pandit happened to have an interaction with him and Shri Datta shared his views on various topics of his writing, readership and contemporary ambience. On sharing his thoughts over current trends of writing, Shri Datta said that it is high time to realize the changing trends and attitudes among youth of the country. There used to be time of literary writing and writer of those time were shared the reflection of the society through their plot and characters. People of light reading tend to go through their neighborhood experiences and freedom of expression. Gone are the days when there used to be writing on socio-cultural trends with moral fiber to motivate youth. Shri Datta realized that a broad section among youth have been engage in smart phone and social media to share their own feeling at large and over indulged in jiffy things nowadays. Reading has never been intact by techno-cultural factors and would never be. The phenomenon of e-books and gadgets do have some impact but that wouldn’t paralyze hard copy readership. On being asked what keeps on you writing, Shrii Datta replied enthusiastically my personal perception over feeling among youth, He told he writes for youth to energize their potential along with their feeling over changing values and society. Significantly, Durjoy Datta was born in Mehsana, Gujarat but grew up in New Delhi. He completed his schooling at the Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura and went on to do mechanical engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering now known as Delhi Technological University. He did his post graduation from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon and also from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany and majored in marketing and finance. He started writing while he was still in final year of his college. In 2011, he quit his job at American Express as a marketing analyst and turned a full-time writer. As an Indian novelist, screenwriter and entrepreneur. He has two shows, Sadda Haq - My Life, My Choice and Million Dollar Girl - From Banaras to Paris on Channel V India and also Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera on Star Plus to his credit. In 2012, he was one of the recipients of the Teacher's Achievement Awards. He has also spoken in various TEDx conferences in colleges across India.
